حار المداد يا سندي

 

“And you will be asked about me… so what will you say?”

—from the Farewell Sermon of our Master, the Prophet ﷺ,
addressing his Ummah through his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them),
and we are among those who came after them.

They answered him then.
And our answer still remains.

The ink is bewildered, my support—
it does not know whether to write or to pour itself out.
For the ink is nothing but from that very Hand.
O source of the ink’s aid, my support, dictate to me so I may write.
Far be it that an ink should ever dry
when You are the One who supplies it endlessly.

وَأَنْتُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ عَنِّي .. فَمَاذا أَنْتُمْ قَائِلُونَ ؟
من خطبة الوداع لسيدنا النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم موجها الخطاب لأمته من أصحابه رضي الله عنهم ونحن من بعدهم
وقد أجابوه وقتها

وبقي جوابنا نحن

حار المداد يا سندي

لا يدري ايكتب ام ينسكب

فما المداد الا من تلكم اليد

يا مدد المداد يا سندي أَمْل علي اَكتب

حاشا يجف مداد انت له مُمِد
