We are still in the three (or more) days of Tashreeq, so increase in remembrance of Allah.

The people of Allah found in the Qur’an and Sunnah ten elevated words, which they called the “Ten Good Words”:

• SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah)

• Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah)

• La ilaha illa Allah (There is no deity but Allah)

• Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)

• La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no power or strength except with Allah)

These first five are called by the people of Allah “Al-Baqiyat al-Salihat” (the enduring good deeds), because they remain with you after your return to Allah, and they guide your path with Allah, so they are called the enduring good deeds.

The other five are:

• Astaghfirullah (I seek Allah’s forgiveness)

• Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return)

• Tawakkaltu ‘ala Allah (I put my trust in Allah)

• Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel (Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs)

• Allahumma salli wa sallim ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa aalihi (O Allah, send Your blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad and his family)

Together, these complete the ten words.

The benefits of sending blessings on the Prophet ﷺ:

• It forgives sins, conceals faults, and illuminates hearts.

• It elevates a person spiritually, because it connects them to the noble station of the Prophet ﷺ.

• It is accepted from everyone. So if a person feels constrained by their sins, or overwhelmed by their repetition, they should turn to sending blessings on the beloved, the chosen Prophet ﷺ. Allah accepts it from anyone because it returns to the noble station of the Prophet ﷺ, thereby removing sins, helping a person regain control over themselves, and opening a good path among people.

لازلنا في أيام التشريق الثلاثة فأكثروا من الذكر ، وأهل الله وجدوا في القرآن والسنة: كلمات أسموها بـ (الكلمات العشر الطيبات): سبحان الله، الحمد لله، لا إله إلا الله، الله أكبر، لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله.
وهذه الخمسة يسميها أهل الله بـ (الباقيات الصالحات)؛ لأنها هي التي تبقى لك بعد انتقالك إلى الله، لأنها هي التي تبقى؛ حيث إنك حددت طريقك مع الله بها، فيسمونها بـ (الباقيات الصالحات).
ثم: أستغفر الله، إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون، توكلت على الله، حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل، اللهم صَلِّ وسلم على سيدنا محمد وآله. وبها تتم العشرة.
والصلاة على النبي ﷺ، تغفر الذنوب، وتستر العيوب، وتنور القلوب.
والصلاة على النبي ﷺ، ترقي الإنسان؛ لأنها تتعلق بالجناب الأجل ﷺ.
والصلاة على النبي ﷺ، تقبل من كل أحد، فإذا ضاق بالإنسان حاله، مع ذنوبه، وكثرة ترداده عليها، وعوده إليها؛ فليلجأ إلى الصلاة على الحبيب المصطفى، والنبي المجتبى ﷺ، فالله يقبلها من كل أحد؛ لأنها ترجع إلى المقام الأجل مرة أخرى؛ ولذلك يخرجه من ذنوبه، ومن عدم سيطرته على نفسه، ويجعل له طريقًا حسنًا في الناس.
