 The Famous Distress Da’ua

اللهم اني اشكو اليك ضعف قوتي وقلة حيلتي وهواني على الناس ، انت رب المستضعفين وانت ربي لا اله الا انت ، الى من تكلني ؟ الى قريب يتجهمني ، ام الى عدو ملكته امري ، ان لم يكن بك سخط علي فلا ابالي غير ان عافيتك هي اوسع لي ، اعوذ بنور وجهك الكريم ، الذي اضاءت له السموات والأرض وأشرقت له الظلمات ، وصلح عليه امر الدنيا والآخرة من أن يحل علي غضبك او ينزل علي سخطك لك العتبى حتى ترضى ولا حول ولا قوة لنا الا بك

O Allah, I complain to you the weakness of my strength and the humiliation by the people.. O Lord, You are for the vulnerable and my Lord, There is no God but You.. To whom You assign me? To a relative who spells me? or to an enemy who rules me? If not Your wrath on me; I do not care, because Your kindness is broader for me.. My refuge is the brightness of Your Holy Face; who lights the heavens and the earth, brightens all darkness and righteously states both the world and the hereafter; not to receive Your anger or wrath.. Offering all gladden to You, till You Accept, as no power of ours but Yours.

الاستخارة مع الله

Seeking Goodness (Istikhaarah)

عنْ جابر بْن عبْداللّه رضي اللّه عنْهما قال:

كان رسول اللّه صلّى اللّهم عليْه وسلّم يعلّمنا الاسْتخارة في الأمور كلّها كما يعلّمنا السّورة من الْقرْآن . يقول
إذا همّ أحدكمْ بالأمْر فلْيرْكعْ ركْعتيْن منْ غيْر الْفريضة ، ثمّ ليقل
اللّهمّ إنّي أسْتخيرك بعلْمك وأسْتقْدرك بقدْرتك وأسْألك منْ فضْلك الْعظيم فإنّك تقْدر ولا أقْدر وتعْلم ولا أعْلم وأنْت علام الْغيوب
اللّهمّ إنْ كنْت تعْلم أنّ هذا الأمْر خيْرٌ لي في ديني ومعاشي وعاقبة أمْري
أوْ قال عاجل أمْري وآجله – فاقْدرْه لي ويسّرْه لي ثمّ باركْ لي فيه
وإنْ كنْت تعْلم أنّ هذا الأمْر شرٌّ لي في ديني ومعاشي وعاقبة أمْري
أوْ قال في عاجل أمْري وآجله – فاصْرفْه عنّي واصْرفْني عنْه واقْدرْ لي الْخيْر حيْث كان ثمّ أرْضني
قال ويسمّي حاجته

Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah please him:

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him; teaches us in all things seeking the goodness (istikhaarah); as well as He teaches us the Koran; says;

“”If anyone of you has an issue of concern; should he performs two Rak’ahs of the non-obligatory prayers, then make a Da’ua:

“O Allah, I seek the goodness as per Your knowledge, seek Your mightiness; and ask You unmatched grace..

You can, while I can’t..

You know and I don’t..

You are the Knower of the Unseen..

Oh Allah, If You know that this issue is better for me; in my religion, in my living, and in my destiny (or He said; as urgently warrants and later on); then; ordain it for me, make it easy, and bless me in it..

If You know that this issue is evil for me; in my religion, in my living, and in my destiny (or He said; as urgent warrants and later on); then; turn it away from me and dismiss me from it..

Guide me to what is good, and satisfy me..””

Said so and name your need..
