Misery does not coexist with goodness and obedience:
Filial piety: Misery does not coexist with being good to one’s mother. Jesus (peace be upon him) said:
“[I was] dutiful to my mother, and He did not make me arrogant or miserable.”Supplication (Dua): Misery does not coexist with sincere prayer. Zechariah (peace be upon him) said:
“And I was not miserable in my supplication to You, my Lord.”The Qur’an: Misery does not coexist with the Qur’an. Allah the Exalted said:
“We did not send down the Qur’an to cause misery.”Following guidance (Sunnah): Misery does not coexist with following guidance. Whoever follows My guidance will not go astray or be miserable.
Fear of Allah (Taqwa): Misery does not coexist with God-consciousness. Those who fear Allah avoid misery.
Piety and righteousness: Allah warned:
“I have warned you of a blazing fire, none will enter it except the miserable.”
Those who deny and turn away are the miserable, while the righteous avoid it.
Prayer: I ask Allah to bless you with happiness and never let you experience misery.
