Baligh Hamdi said to Al-Naqshabandi:
“I have a religious melody in my head, with tawasheeh woven into it, and I want to make it for you.”

Al-Naqshabandi replied:
“So you—the guy behind ‘El-Hob Kolloh’ and ‘Alf Leila wa Leila’—want to make me sing with music?”

Baligh said:
“I’ll make a melody for you that will live for the next 100 years.”

And the supplication ‘Mawlay Inni Bi-Babik’ was created—
a peak of creativity.
