Spirituality is often shown as peace, light, healing, manifestation, higher vibrations, and beautiful moments of connection with the Divine✨
But there is another side.
Sometimes spirituality can become another place for the ego to hide🌿
You may begin judging people because you believe you are more “awakened.”
You may call emotional avoidance “detachment.”
You may call running away from difficult situations “surrender.”
You may become obsessed with signs, synchronicities, energies, visions, or spiritual experiences—and forget the actual work of transforming yourself🧘🏻♀️
You may even start believing that because you pray more, meditate more, know more scriptures, or perform more sadhana, you are somehow spiritually superior🔥
And this is where spirituality can quietly become another identity.
The purpose of spirituality is not to make you feel special.
It is to make you more honest with yourself🤍
Real spiritual growth can force you to confront the parts of yourself you don’t want to see—your attachment, fear, anger, jealousy, pride, control, expectations, and the need to be validated🌊
Sometimes the Divine doesn’t give you another sign.
Sometimes it simply gives you a mirror🪞
And perhaps the hardest part of the journey is realizing that not everything you call “spiritual” is actually helping you evolve🕉️
The goal isn’t to become someone who looks spiritual.
The goal is to become more conscious, more grounded, more compassionate, and more truthful🌺
Because even the ego can wear a mala📿
And sometimes, the greatest spiritual awakening begins when you stop trying to appear awakened. 🔱
Spirituality isn’t about escaping yourself.
It’s about becoming honest enough to meet yourself
Save this for the days when spirituality starts feeling more like an identity than a journey. 🌙
