يحبهم ويحبونه

 Sayyidī Aḥmad al-Rifāʿī (may God be pleased with him) said, regarding the verse: “He loves them, and they love Him”:

He loves them without weariness, and they love Him without motive.

He loves them without weariness for all eternity—time that does not pass and has no end;

and they love Him not out of desire for Paradise nor out of fear of Hell.

He loves them with fidelity, and they love Him with purity.

He loves them through protection, and they love Him through service.

He loves them through divine enabling, and they love Him without hindrance.

He loves them with guidance, and they love Him with inner knowing.

He loves them with safety, and they love Him with faith.

And were it not for the appointed terms that God has decreed for the longing ones,

their souls would have perished within their bodies from the intensity of their yearning for Him.

يقول سيدي احمد الرفاعي رضي الله عنه
في قوله تعالى: يحبهم ويحبونه
يحبهم بلا ملل ، ويحبونه بلا علل
يحبهم بلا ملل أبد الآباد ، زماناً لا ينقضي وماله نفاد ، يحبونه لا رغبة في الجنة ولا خوفاً من النار
يحبهم وفا ، ويحبونه صفا ، يحبهم بالعصمة ، يحبونه بالخدمة ، يحبهم بالتوفيق ، يحبونه بلا تعويق
يحبهم هداية ، ويحبونه دراية ، يحبهم بالأمان ، يحبونه بالإيمان
ولولا الآجال التي كتبها الله على المشتاقين لماتت أرواحهم في أبدانهم لشدة الاشتياق إليه
