Islam had praised knowledge and science with clear verses glorifying scholars and scientists against others.. The following verses of Quran and Hadith provide clear irrevocable context on the role of Scientists within the Muslim society.. Yet, the definition of those scientists is not the usual one as given in encyclopedias, but the one given in the divine context; cordially relates scientist and science to the reveling Epistemia.. This is what creates the conflict between Muslims and others in addressing issues; which are related to creation, substances and materials.. or in other terms related to Biology, Physics and Chemistry..

وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلاَ اللهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ‏ – عمران الآية 7‏

He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: “We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:” and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.
AlOmran 7 

شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لا إِلَـٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَٱلْمَلَـٰئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلْعِلْمِ قَائِمَاً بِٱلْقِسْطِ لاَ إِلَـٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ – آل عمران : 18

There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise.
AlOmran 18

قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الألْبَابِ – الزمر : 9

Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord – (like one who does not)? Say: “Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.
Throngs 9 

يَرْفَعِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ مِنكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْعِلْمَ دَرَجَـٰتٍ – المجادلة : 11

O ye who believe! When ye are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room: (ample) room will Allah provide for you. And when ye are told to rise up, rise up Allah will rise up, to (suitable) ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted (mystic) Knowledge. And Allah is well-acquainted with all ye do.
The Pleading Woman 11 

بَلْ هُوَ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ فِي صُدُورِ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلاَ الظَّالِمُونَ – العنكبوت : 49‏

Nay, here are Signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: and none but the unjust reject Our Signs.
The Spider 49

روى البخارى عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه

Bukhari narrated from Ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said: Whom Allah wants for a goodness, He makes him a Jurisprudent

وأخرج مسلم عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من سلك طريقًا يلتمس فيه علمًا سهّل الله له به طريقًا إلى الجنة

Muslim narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said: Who see a path for knowledge, God will ease for him a path to paradise

وأخرج أبو داود والترمذي عن أبي الدَّرداء قال : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليْه وسلَّمَ يَقُولُ: مَن سَلَكَ طَرِيْقَاَ يَبْتَغِي فِيْهِ عِلْمَاً سَهَّلَ اللهُ لهُ طَرِيْقَاً إلى الجَنَّة، وإنَّ المَلائِكَةَ لَتَضَعُ أجْنِحَتَهَا لِطَالِبِ العِلْمِ رِضَاً بِما يَصْنَعُ، وَإنَّ العَالِمَ لَيَسْتَغفِرُ لهُ مَن في السَّمواتِ ومَن في الأرضِ حَتَّى الحِيْتَانُ في المَاء، وفَضْلُ العَالِمِ عَلى العَابِدِ كَفَضلِ القَمَرِ على سَائِرِ الكَوَاكِبِ، وإنَّ العُلَماءِ وَرَثَةُ الأنبِيْاءِ، وإنَّ الأنبِيْاءَ لمْ  يُوَرَثُوا دِيْناراً ولا دِرْهَمَاً، وَإنَّما وَرَّثُوا العِلْمَ فَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ أخَذَ بِحَظٍ وَافِرٍ

Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi narrated that Abu Darda said : I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him says : Who see a path for knowledge, God will ease for him a path to paradise, though the angels to put their wings pavement for the seeker of knowledge, praising his deed. Though the worlds of Heavens and Earth to pray for forgiveness for him; including the whales in the oceans. The Scientist is preferred on worshipers is alike the moon’s superiority on other planets. Scientists are the heirs of the Prophets; who did not leave behind dinars or dirhams, but science; which whoever inherit has a great share

There is no contradicting of paradoxical concepts in this regard; but also a demise between who had accepted and understood the notion that the Creator swt knows better and His words are our referrals towards the conflicting issues
