 🛑 Ten Acts That Erase Sins and Misdeeds

1️⃣ Erase them with glorification (tasbīḥ):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever says: ‘Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdih’ (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him) one hundred times in a day, his sins will be erased even if they are like the foam of the sea.”

2️⃣ Erase them with seeking forgiveness (istighfār):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever says: ‘Astaghfirullāh, alladhī lā ilāha illā Huwa, al-Ḥayy al-Qayyūm, wa atūbu ilayh’ (I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides whom there is no deity, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him), he will be forgiven even if he fled from the battlefield.”

3️⃣ Erase them with this remembrance:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“There is no one on earth who says: ‘Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Allāhu akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh,’ except that his sins are expiated, even if they are like the foam of the sea.”

4️⃣ Erase them after eating:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever eats food and then says: ‘Al-ḥamdu lillāh alladhī aṭ‘amanī hādhā al-ṭa‘ām wa razaqanīhi min ghayri ḥawlin minnī wa lā quwwah’ (Praise be to Allah who fed me this food and provided it for me without any power or strength from myself), his previous sins will be forgiven.”

5️⃣ Erase them after putting on clothes:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever wears a garment and says: ‘Al-ḥamdu lillāh alladhī kasānī hādhā wa razaqanīhi min ghayri ḥawlin minnī wa lā quwwah,’ his previous sins will be forgiven.”

6️⃣ Erase them when hearing the adhān (call to prayer):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever says upon hearing the caller to prayer: ‘I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah alone with no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as my Messenger, and with Islam as my religion,’ his sins will be forgiven.”

7️⃣ Erase them during ablution (wuḍū’):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When a servant performs ablution and perfects it, his sins leave his body until they even come out from beneath his fingernails.”

8️⃣ Erase them after every prayer:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever glorifies Allah, praises Allah, and magnifies Allah after every prayer—making ninety-nine in total—and completes the hundred by saying: ‘Lā ilāha illā Allāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-ḥamd, wa Huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr,’ his sins will be forgiven.”

9️⃣ Erase them in your prayer:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When the imam says: ‘Not of those who earned Your anger nor of those who went astray’ (al-Fātiḥah: 7), then say ‘Āmīn.’ Whoever’s saying of ‘Āmīn’ coincides with that of the angels, his past sins will be forgiven.”

🔟 Erase them through your ablution and effort:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Shall I not guide you to that by which Allah erases sins and raises ranks?” They said, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “Perfecting ablution despite difficulties, taking many steps to the mosques, and waiting for one prayer after another—this is ribāṭ (steadfast devotion).”

‏ العشر الماحيات للذنوب و الخطايا:-

‏– امحها بتسبيحك:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :-

{من قال: سبحان اللهِ وبحمدِه في يومٍ مائةَ مرةٍ ، حُطَّتْ خطاياه ولو كانتْ مثلَ زبدِ البحرِ}.

‏– امحها بأستغفارك:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :-

{ من قال : أستغفِرُ اللهَ ، الذي لا إله إلا هو ، الحَيَّ القيومَ ، وأتوبُ إليه ؛ غُفِرَ له وإن كان فَرَّ من الزَّحْفِ }.

‏– امحها بهذا الذكر:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :-

{ ما على الأرضِ أحدٌ يقولُ : لا إلهَ إلَّا اللهُ ، واللهُ أكبرُ ، ولا حولَ ولا قوةَ إلَّا باللهِ ، إلَّا كُفِّرَتْ عنه خطاياه ، ولو كانَتْ مثلَ زبدِ البحرِ }.

‏– امحها بعد طعامك:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :-

{ مَنْ أكلَ طعامًا ثُم قال : الحمدُ للهِ الّذي أطعمَنِي هذا الطعامَ ، ورزَقَنِيهِ من غيرِ حولٍ مِنِّي ولا قُوَّةٍ غُفِرَ لهُ ما تقدَّمَ من ذنْبِهِ }.

‏– امحها بعد لباسك:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:-

{ ومَنْ لبِسَ ثوبًا فقال : الحمدُ للهِ الّذي كسَانِي هذا ، ورزَقَنِيِهِ مِن غيرِ حولٍ مِنِّي ولا قُوَّةٍ غُفِرَ لهُ ما تقدَّمَ من ذنْبِهَِّ }.

‏– امحها حين الأذان:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:-

{ مَن قال حينَ يَسْمَعُ المؤذنَ : أشهدُ أن لا إلهَ إلا اللهُ، وحدَه لا شريكَ له ، وأن محمدًا عبدُه ورسولُه ، رَضِيتُ باللهِ ربًّا، وبمحمدٍ رسولًا، وبالإسلامِ دِينًا ؛ غُفِرَ له ذنبُه }.

‏– امحها عند الوضوء:-

قَالَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:-

{ من تَوَضَّأ فَأَحْسَنَ الوُضُوءَ، خَرَجَتْ خَطَايَاهُ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ حَتَّى تَخْرُج مِنْ تَحْتِ أَظْفَارِهِ }.

‏– امحها بعد كل صلاة:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:-

{ من سبَّحَ اللَّهَ في دُبُرِ كلِّ صلاةٍ وحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وكبَّرَ اللَّهَ فتلكَ تسعةٌ وتسعونَ وقالَ تمامَ المائةِ لا إلهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وحدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ لهُ الملكُ ولهُ الحمدُ وهوَ على كلِّ شيءٍ قدير غُفِرت خطاياهُ }.

‏– امحها في صلاتك:-

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :-

{ إذا قالَ الإمامُ: {غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة: 7] فَقُولوا آمِينَ، فمَن وافَقَ قَوْلُهُ قَوْلَ المَلائِكَةِ غُفِرَ له ما تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنْبِهِ }.

‏– امحها في وضوئك:-

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم :-

{ ألا أدلُّكم على ما يمحو اللهُ به الخطايا ويرفعُ به الدرجاتِ ؟ قالوا: بلى يا رسولَ اللهِ قال: إسباغ الوضوءِ على المكارهِ، وكثرةُ الخُطا إلى المساجدِ، وانتظارُ الصلاةِ بعد الصلاةِ، فذلكم الرِّباطُ }.
