التخلية والتحلية

The process of cleansing the heart from what is evil and adorning it with what is good is something we must believe in, strive for, understand, and apply, so that we may attain the pleasure of Allah.

What I have chosen for you today is the cleansing of the heart from malice (ghill). This act leads a person to a state of balance, enabling them to see realities as they are. Malice clouds the heart and prevents a person from perceiving the truth clearly. When one cleanses the heart, one looks at the world with a pure heart, letting go of pride, selfishness, hatred, envy, and injustice. One abandons reckless actions toward oneself, others, or even one’s community.

Malice disturbs the balance in a person’s hand, consumes the heart, and clouds one’s path. Every day, in our prayers, we call on Allah:
"Guide us to the straight path"—and the straight path is the path of Allah, a path that knows no malice.

If you remove malice from your heart and train yourself to control it, you will be happy. Many people do not pay attention to this and think that abandoning malice is merely a lofty moral virtue. Not at all—it also brings happiness in this life. Allah has made it a sign of happiness in the Hereafter, and He made it a reward for the righteous:

“Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and springs,
Entering them in peace and security.
And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other.
No fatigue will touch them therein, nor will they be removed from it.
Inform My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful,
And that My punishment is the painful punishment.”

Allah mentions this in the context of favor, not as a burden or obligation that humans must endure to remove malice from their hearts. It is a favor He grants in Paradise as a reward for their previous piety. The righteous are in gardens and springs, entering in peace. Peace here is a blessing, not merely a duty. It is an honor when achieved under the guidance of Allah, and its effects are blessings bestowed by Allah.

Removing malice from the heart leads to:

• Happiness

• Peace

• Freedom from toil and distress in this world and the next

Thus, cleansing your heart from malice is a blessing.

This process requires time, effort, consistency, and passing it on to the next generation. Children should be raised to practice what we may have missed. It must be done with determination and continuity, for as the Prophet ﷺ said:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are continuous, even if they are few.”

Control yourself, resist malice in your heart toward your brothers, toward the world, and toward Allah’s creation. Do not let it turn into pride, injustice, or selfishness. By doing so, you will be happy in this life and enter the presence of your Lord with His pleasure.

When you cleanse your heart of such ugliness, Allah does not leave the heart empty; He adorns it with:

• Contentment

• Submission

• Generosity

• Insight and light to perceive things as they truly are

May Allah forgive us and our believing predecessors, remove malice from our hearts toward those who believe, and adorn our hearts with what is good and righteous.

عملية التخلية من القبيح والتحلية بالصحيح أمر ينبغي أن نؤمن به، وأن نسعى إليه، وأن نفهمه، وأن نطبقه حتى ننال رضى الله عنا.
مما اخترته اليوم لكم تخلية القلب من الغل، وتخلية القلب من الغل عمل يؤدي بالإنسان إلى حالة التوازن، يؤدي بالإنسان إلى أن يرى الحقائق على ما هي عليه؛ لا يُغَبِّشُ عليه غلُّه شيئًا من الحقائق، بل ينظر إلى ما حوله بقلب صافٍ، يتخلى حينئذ عن الكبر وعن الأنانية وعن الحقد وعن الحسد، يتخلى حينئذ عن الظلم ، يتخلى حينئذ عن التصرفات الهوجاء التي قد يرتكبها في حق نفسه، أو في حق غيره، أو في حق أمته .
الغل يؤدي إلى اختلال الميزان في يد الإنسان، يأكل قلبه ويغبش عليه طريقه، ونحن ندعو الله – سبحانه وتعالى – كل يوم في صلواتنا دائمًا {اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ} والصراط المستقيم هو طريق الله، وطريق الله لا يعرف الغل.
قإذا تخليت عن الغل من قلبك ودربت نفسك على ضبطه، وعلى تخلية قلبك منه فإنك ستسعد.
وهو أمر قد لا يلتفت إليه كثير من الناس، ويظن أن التخلي عن الغل إنما هو محض خلق راق رائق عالٍ ! أبدًا، إنه أيضًا يسبب لك السعادة في الدنيا، وجعله الله – سبحانه وتعالى – علامة على السعادة في الآخرة، بل جعله – سبحانه وتعالى – جزاء للمتقين على تقواهم { إِن الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ * ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ آَمِنِينَ * وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ * لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُمْ مِنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ * نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ * وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ } ساقها الله – سبحانه وتعالى – في سياق المنّة، ولم يسقها في سياق التكليف الذي يتكلف فيه الإنسان المشقة لإزالة هذا الأمر من قلبه طلبًا لرضوان الله – جل جلاله – ، بل إنه جعله من هذه الأمور التي يمنّ الله علينا بها في الجنة جزاءً وفاقًا لما سبق أن قدمناه من التقوى {إِن الْمُتَّقِينَ} ما جزاؤهم؟ هم في جنات وعيون، {ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ} فالسلام نعمة، وليس هو محض تكليف فقط بل هو أيضًا تشريف، تكليف عندما تتكلفه في نفسك لربك وتجعل سلامك مع نفسك ومع الناس لله رب العالمين وتحت كلمة الله رب العالمين، ويكون أثره نعمة قد مَنَّ الله عليك بها فتنبه!
{آَمِنِينَ * وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ} كل ما أمرك الله به من إزالة الغل من قلبك إنما هو راجع إليك بالسعادة، وراجع إليك بالسلام، وراجع إليك بعدم النَّصَب (التعب) في هذه الحياة الدنيا وفى الآخرة {لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ} هذه نعمة ، {وَمَا هُمْ مِنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ } (نعمة)؛ إذًا نزع الغل من قلوبهم إنما هو نعمة .
إذا خليتم قلوبكم من الغل وهو أمر قد يحتاج إلى وقت؛ فالتربية تحتاج إلى وقت، وتحتاج إلى همة، وتحتاج إلى استمرار، وتحتاج إلى نقل لمن بعدنا في أولادنا فالتربية تحتاج إلى سن صغيرة، نربي فيها أبناءنا على ما قد يكون فاتنا، لابد عليك أن تفعل هذا بهمة وبديمومة، و(كانَ ﷺ عَمَلُهُ دِيْمَة) ، ويقول ﷺ: (أحَبُّ الأعْمَالِ إلى اللهِ أدْوَمُهَا وإنْ قَلَّ) سيطِر على نفسك، وحاول أن تقاوم الغل في قلبك قِبَل إخوانك وقبل العالمين، وقِبَل هذا الكون الذي هو مخلوق لرب العالمين، حاول أن تضبط هذا الغل، وألا تجعله كبِرًا أو ظلمًا أو أنانية تملأ القلوب، فسوف تسعد في الدنيا ثم تنقلب إلى ربك وهو راض عنك، إذا أنت خليت قلبك من ذلك القبيح فإن الله لا يترك القلب فارًغا أبدا، فإنه سوف يحليه بالرضا والتسليم والسماحة، سوف يحليه بالبصيرة والنور وأن نرى الأشياء على وجهها؛ فاللهم اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان، ولا تجعل فى قلوبنا غلاً للذين آمنوا، وخَلِّ قلوبنا من القبيح وحَلَّها يا ربنا بالصحيح.
