If you want your affairs to be kept concealed for you and not to deviate from the path of Allah, then begin by sending prayers upon the Chosen One ﷺ. For all deeds lie between acceptance and rejection, except sending prayers upon him ﷺ, for it is accepted—even from a hypocrite or a sinner—because of its attachment to the Supreme Presence ﷺ.

If this is the state of sending prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ when done by a hypocrite—being accepted—then what do you think when it comes from a believer? It is accepted even more and more. He ﷺ said:
“Whoever sends one prayer upon me, Allah sends ten prayers upon him.”

Abu Lahab rejoiced when our master, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was born. Thuwaybah, the slave woman of Abu Lahab, was present at the birth, and she came joyfully to him saying, “Rejoice! Aminah has given birth to a son.” Abu Lahab was happy and set her free, for when glad tidings were brought to them, they would give a reward—and what reward could be better than freeing her and granting her her freedom?

Our master, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was born on a Monday. Abu Lahab is in the Fire by the explicit text of the Qur’an, yet every Monday his punishment is lightened, and a small amount of water is brought out for him with which he slightly quenches himself—because he rejoiced at the coming of the Prophet ﷺ. This hadith is reported by al-Bukhari, so let no one come and say that it is weak.

Why is that? They said: because he rejoiced. So what about when a believer rejoices?

The scholars said: sending prayers upon him ﷺ enters under the scope of evidence supporting this. And how many times should it be done? They said: not less than one thousand times every day and night.

Some ask: why one thousand times? One thousand times so that the heart begins to move.

Some people say, “O Allah, send prayers upon him,” without mentioning his name, and say “upon Muhammad”—this is not complete. Rather, completeness is to mention his name ﷺ, and what is more complete is to send prayers upon his family along with him.

تريد أن يكون الأمر مستور معك ولا تنحرف عن طريق الله، فابدأ في الصلاة على المصطفى ﷺ لأن كل الأعمال بين القبول والرفض إلا الصلاة على ﷺ فهى مقبولة حتى من المنافق والفاسق، لتعلقها بالجناب الأعظم ﷺ.
فإذا كانت هذه هى حال الصلاة على النبي ﷺ من المنافق وهى مقبولة، فما بالك إذا كانت من المؤمن! فإنها تكون مقبولة أكثر وأكثر قال صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: (مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَىّ واحِدَة صَلَّى اللهُ عليه عَشْرًا) .
أبو لهب فَرِحَ عندما َوُلِدَ سيدنا رسول الله ﷺ والتي كانت حاضرة الولادة ثويبة جارية أبى لهب، فجاءت فَرِحَة تقول له أبشر فلقد أتت آمنة بولد، ففرح أبو لهب فأعتقها فإنهم كان إذا جاء لهم بشير أعطوه جائزة، وهل هناك جائزة أحسن من أنه حررها وأعطى لها نفسها! وسيدنا رسول الله ﷺ قد وُلِدَ يوم الاثنين، وأبو لهب في النار بنص القرآن، ولكن كل يوم اثنين يُخَفَّفُ عنه العذاب ويخرج له شئ قليل من الماء ويروى نفسه قليلاً بما فَرِحَ بمقدِمِ النبى ﷺ . -والحديث أخرجه البخارى فلا يأتى لنا أخ ويقول إن هذا الحديث ضعيف- ولماذا ذلك؟ قال: لأنه فرح، فما بالك لو فرح المؤمن.
قال العلماء: الصلاةُ عليه ﷺ سوف تدخل في نطاق الدليل عليه. وكم مرة نقوم بها؟ قالوا : لا يقل عن ألف مرة كل يوم وليلة.
وهناك من يسأل لماذا ألف مرة ؟ ألف مرة حتى يبدأ قلبك في التحرك .
بعضهم يقول: اللهم صَلِّ عليه، ولا ينطق باسمه ويقول على محمد فهذا ليس بالكمال، ولكن الكمال أن تذكر اسمه صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم، والأكمل أن تصلى على الآل معه.
