وكيل الأزهر: لا يمكننا تكفير مرتكبي حادث مسجد “الروضة”

Dr. Abbas Shoman, Deputy of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, stated that the perpetrators of the Al-Rawda Mosque attack in Al-Arish are among the most unjust of people. He cited the words of Allah the Exalted:
“And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques and strive toward their destruction? It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.”

Shoman added, during a phone interview on the program “Hadrat Al-Muwatin” on Al-Hadath Al-Youm channel, that these terrorists have exposed themselves and lost an important cover behind which they long hid—namely, their claim that they are trying to establish Islamic law. He explained that if they were Muslims, they would not have committed this act or killed Muslims.

He further pointed out that it is not possible to speak of them as belonging to any religion at all; rather, they are paid terrorists who were hired to undermine the state. Religious or intellectual discourse is of no use with them; what is effective is eradicating them and ridding the nation of their evil.

He clarified that Al-Azhar cannot declare these terrorists disbelievers (takfir), because takfir opens doors that cannot be closed. However, it is possible to judge the act itself by stating that those who committed it are not Muslims, for neither a Muslim nor a Jew could commit such an act. As for issuing general rulings of disbelief against an entire group, the established scholarly principles of Islamic law do not allow for that.

قال الدكتور عباس شومان، وكيل الأزهر الشريف، إن مرتكبي حادث مسجد “الروضة” بالعريش من أظلم الناس، مستشهدًا بقول الله تعالى “وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ مَنَعَ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ وَسَعَى فِي خَرَابِهَا أُولَئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوهَا إِلَّا خَائِفِينَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ”.

وأضاف “شومان”، خلال مداخلة هاتفية في برنامج “حضرة المواطن”، على قناة “الحدث اليوم”، أن هؤلاء الإرهابيين فضحوا أنفسهم، وفقدوا ورقة مهمة طالما احتموا بها أنهم يحاولوا إقامة أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية، موضحًا أن هؤلاء الإرهابيين لو كانوا مسلمين ما قاموا بهذا الفعل وقتلوا المسلمين.

وأشار في الوقت نفسه إلى أنه لا يمكن التحدث عنهم على أنهم ينتمون لأي دين، فهم إرهابيون مأجورون دفعوا لإسقاط الدولة، ولا يجدي معهم خطاب ديني ولا فكري، وإنما يُجدي معهم استئصالهم وتخليص الوطن من شرورهم.

وأوضح أن الأزهر لا يمكنه أن يكفر هؤلاء الإرهابيين لكون التكفير يفتح أبواب لا يمكن إغلاقها، وإنما يمكن الحكم على الحادث فقط، بأن من قام بذلك ليسوا مسلمين، فلا يمكن أن يقوم به مسلم ولا يهودي، لكن إصدار أحكام عامة بتكفير مجموعة عامة، فالقواعد العلمية بالشريعة الإسلامية لا تمكن من ذلك.
