كما قال الطحاوى فى عقيدته : المؤمنون كلهم أولياء الرحمن

فالله يعادى من يعادى أى مؤمن ولو كان عاصياً : لأنه ولي الله الذى نصر الله بشهادته : أن لا إله إلا الله

جعل الله محبته أى : أعظم العطاء فى فعل الفرائض حتى لا يفوت أعظم العطاء أحد ، فلو صلى أحدنا ألف ركعة كانت صلاة الظهر (الفريضة) أعظم من الألف ركعة ، فالأولياء من صلوا الفرائض

جعل الله الولاية فى الفرائض : حتى لا يتعدى أحد على أحد ، وأولى الفرائض وأعلاها الشهادتان ، فمن آذى من نطق بهما فقد عادى الله

Piousness, Intention & Surrender..

 

These three qualities define the Muslims’ behaviors in living.. They complement the basic principles of creation: Acknowledging Allah swt, Protecting against evils, and colonizing the universe..

Piousness means that all acts, deeds and endeavors should be for the sake of Allah swt..

Intention means aligning all favorites and preferences to Allah’s will..

Surrender means losing the personal interest within any activity, to Allah’s verdict..

These are never easy performance nor a quick gain ones, but long religious sport and patience.. It was a promise crowned by Allah’s name swt to disturb the righteous path for all believers. Yet, countered by Allah’s promise swt to forgive and reward who would stand for such hardship..

It is a great hardship top stand against your own humane desires and comfort, aiming to please your Creator swt and contribute to His destine-wisdom swt of shareholding among Mankind and universe

It is a reward that only recognized by the intellectual hearts, not the mindful brains..!

Certainly, a Female is not a property of a Male; to dictate her looks and moves.. and limits of Others to look into her physical profile, with potential to trigger (sexual) desires or wishfulness..

Therefore, within the (Wed-Family Molecule) both Females and Males, share the essence of legitimate privatization and guardianship of their Spouses.. However, the fact that Males have fewer (sexual) attractions than the Females; had disturbed the logical interpretation.. Yes, the term is very oriental in today’s practice, but is was commonly global till few decades ago.. If not mistaken, the still-ongoing practice to verify the purity of (Royal Inheritance) is one of its historical applications..!!

Many religions, and subsequent penal codes; consider preventing others to observe the (sexual) attractions of the partners as justify for some domestic abuse.. This would also justify violent reactions to others, specially if the subject breach would evolve to any form of consensual sexual practice.. This had rooted the controversial trends of Chastity belt; the so-called Honor-killing; as well as conservative female dressing codes, topped with Niqab.. Only in cold climate zones (Polar and Tundra), people had not covered up by choice..!!

For many; it is sort of (Built-in) Culture of Possession.. For other growing advocates; it is sort of (Historical) Culture of Inequality.. Every party has reasons to tell..!

Fairly; Muslims, particularly Females; do not have much of such liberty to choose their practices in some issues, including the show-off of their Natural (sexual) Jewelries as named in Quran.. These were privileged only for their Spouses as noted in Quran.. Yes, it look outdated in today’s world, yet a Divine Note to observe, rather than to discuss..

THE TRUE MEANING OF ISTIKHARA

 I feel that often times people mistake Istikhara for having a different meaning than it truly does. For the most part, this consists of people assuming that seeing a dream from Allah, regarding the situation being ‘good’ or ‘bad’ is a vital part of Istikhara. However, this is not the case. For this post, I decided to explain to you what Istikhara is, starting from the basics. Hopefully this gets rid of any misconceptions any of you have regarding Istikhara.

 

 

WHAT DOES ISTIKHARA MEAN?
The word Istikhara directly means, to ask Allah to guide one to the right sort of action concerning a job or deed. ‘Khair’ means good (asking Allah to guide you to the good or right answer). Meaning, you’re not asking Allah to show you a vision, through a dream.

DREAMS AND ISTIKHARA
People sometimes think of their dreams, as answers from God. However, dreams sometimes consist of our thoughts, ambitions, etc. which are already made up in our minds. Often times we mistake these dreams/thoughts for Allah’s word. In the time of marriage or finding a life partner, people ask their relatives to do Istikhara as well. However, the most important people in this marriage are the guy and girl getting married. So they should do Istikhara for themselves. We are taught from a very young age to ask Allah for a suitable life partner, this is also a sort of Istikhara. So once again, it is important that the guy and girl do Istikhara. If two people get contradicting dreams it could mean that the message was actually the same but misinterpreted. Be certain that you can’t get two different answers from Allah, it’s a mistake in our own interpretation. Which is why, the guy and girl should pray, and go with their gut feeling, not what others dream of.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ISTIKHARA
The importance of Istikhara can be seen from the following Hadith:

Narrated by Jabir bin ‘Abdullah:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to teach us the way of doing Istikhara, in all matters as he taught us the Surahs of the Qur’an. He said, “If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two rak’at prayer otehr than the compulsory ones and say (after the prayer): “Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi’ilmika, Wa astaqdiruka biqudratika, Wa as’alaka min falika Al-‘azlm Fa-innaka taqdiru Wala aqdiru, Wa ta’lamu Wala a’lamu, Wa anta ‘allamu l-ghuyub, Alahumma, in kunta ta’lam anna hadha-lamra Khairun li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati ‘Amri Faqdirhu wa yas-sirhu li thumma barik li Fihi, Wa in kunta ta’lamu anna hadha-lamra shar-run li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati ‘Amri Fasrifhu anni was-rifni anhu. Waqdir li al-khaira haithu kana Thumma ardini bihi.’
(O Allah! I ask guidance from Your knowledge, and Power from Your Might and I ask for Your great blessings. You are capable and I am not. You know and I do no and You know the unseen. O Allah! If You know that this job is good for my religion and my subsistence and in my Hereafter, Then You ordain it for me and make it easy for me to get, And then bless me in it, and if You know that this job is harmful to me in my religion and subsistence and in the Hereafter, Then keep it away from me and let me be away from it. And ordain for me whatever is good for me, And make me a satisfied with it). The Prophet (peace be upon him) added that then the person should name (mention) his need.

HOW DOES ONE PERFORM ISTIKHARA?
If any problem comes your way, the following steps should be taken to perform Istikhara:

• Perform 2 Rak’ah of (Nafl) prayer:
  • In the first Rak’ah read Surah Al-Kafiroon
  • In the next Rak’ah read Surah-Al-Ikhlas
  • (Perform the rest of the prayer as you would normally)
•  Read the Dua for Istikhara

Many people say that the 2 Rak’ah of Nafl prayer should be read after Isha’a only because one can go to sleep directly after, and see a dream (if that’s meant to happen). However, no where in the Hadith is a specific time for performing Istikhara given. In the Hadith it shows that one should perform Istikhara whenever they need to.

CAN ONE DO ISTIKHARA WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRAYER?
It would be beneficial to memorize the Istikhara prayer. However, if one is unable to do so, then they can say the prayer in their own words. Basically, if you don’t know the prayer, you are still able to do Istikhara, but the words (of the prayer) that have been taught to us by the Prophet (peace be upon him) would be more effective and result in more blessings.

PRAYING FOR DECISION PURPOSES
Please remember that Istikhara is not only for marriages! Istikhara should be an important part of every important decision that you make in your life. For example, if something comes up, and you only have a few moments to make a decision, you can still do Istikhara because it’s technically just a prayer.

I do hope that this clears away any misconceptions that you had regarding Istikhara. It is beneficial to make it a habit to recite the Istikhara prayer whenever we can. I don’t think any one of us would want to make the wrong decision, leading to problems in the future. Whether this be a decision regarding school, people, friends, jobs etc., pray to Allah to help you make the decision that would be beneficial to you in this world and the next.

Seeking Forgiveness

 

إمسَح ذُنُوبَك : بعدَ التّشَهُدِ

عَنْ مِحْجَنَ بْنَ الْأَدْرَعِ قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ ، وَهُوَ يَتَشَهَّدُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا اَللهُ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ ، الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ، أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذُنُوبِي ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ ،

قَالَ: فَقَالَ : رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { قَدْ غُفِرَ لَهُ ، قَدْ غُفِرَ لَهُ} ثَلَاثًا. حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِي

[Wipe Out Your Sins ] “After Tashahud in a prayer”

Mihjan Ben Al-Adra said that, The Prophet (PBUH) entered the mosque and saw a man who had finished his prayer, and was saying: O Allah, I ask you, O Allah, the One, the eternally besought of all, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable unto Him, that you may forgive me my sins, you are Most Forgiving, Merciful.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, “He was forgiven (repeating three times).” Narrated by Nisaei.

مختصر الاسلام

 

عَنْ عمرو بن عبسة رضي الله عنه قال:

قال رجلٌ: يا رسولَ اللهِ ما الإسلامُ؟

قال: أن يسلَمَ للهِ قلبُك وأن يسلَمَ المسلمون من لسانِك ويدِك.

قال: فأيُّ الإسلامِ أفضلُ؟ قال: الإيمانُ.

قال: وما الإيمانُ؟ قال: أن تُؤمنَ باللهِ وملائكتِه وكتبِه ورسلِه والبعثِ بعد الموتِ.

قال: فأيُّ الإيمانِ أفضلُ؟ قال: الهجرةُ.

قال: وما الهجرةُ؟ قال: أن تهجُرَ السُّوءَ.

قال: فأيُّ الهجرةِ أفضلُ؟ قال: الجهادُ.

قال: وما الجهادُ؟ قال: أن تُقاتلَ الكفَّارَ إذا لقِيتَهم.

قال: فأيُّ الجهادِ أفضلُ؟ قال: من عقَر جوادَه وأُهرِيق دمُه.

قال رسولُ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم: ثمَّ عملان هما أفضلُ الأعمالِ إلَّا من عمِل عملًا بمثلِها: حجَّةٌ مبرورةٌ أو عمرةٌ

العشق في الطريق الصوفي

الكل يُبنى حول العشق. ألم يقل الله تعالى أنه أقرب للإنسان من حبل الوريد؟ فالصوفي يعثر عليه داخل قلبه عندما يعشق.

يقول الله تعالى على لسان نبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم: [ ما وسعتني أرضي ولا سمائي، لكن وسعني قلب عبدي المؤمن”. ويقول جل جلاله: ” وما تقر ب إلي عبدي بشيء أحب إلي مما افترضته عليه، ولا يزال عبدي يتقرب إلي بالنوافل حتى أحبه، فإذا أحببته كنت سمعه الذي يسمع به، وبصره الذي يبصر به، ويده التي يبطش بها، ورجله التي يمشي بها، ولئن سألني لأعطينه، ولئن استعاذني لأعيذنه.] يجيب الصوفي على منحة اللطف والمبادرة الإلهية.

وهناك صلاة تقليدية تدعى صلاة داوود صيغت بهذه الكلمات: [ يا الله، امنحني أن أحبك، امنحني أن أحب من يحبك، هبني أن أُتم الأعمال التي تكسبني حبك، هبني أن يكون حبك أغلى مني ومن ذوي ومما أملك].

يقول جلال الدين الرومي: ” العشق هو تلك الشعلة، التي عندما ترتفع، تحرق الكل، ويبقى الله وحده”،

أما الشاعر الصوفي الفارسي الكبير فريد الدين العطار فيقول: “ليس للعشق لإلا ثلاثة سبل، النار والدموع والدم”، ويقول صوفي آخر يدعى الشيخ سيد ظريف أن “سبب الخلق هو تجلي جماله، وأول الخلق كان العشق”.

العشق هو روح الكون على الحقيقة بالنسبة للتصوف، فبفضله يميل الإنسان إلى العودة إلى أصله. الرقص والموسيقى ودوران النجوم وحركة الذرات، ومعراج الحياة على سلم الكائنات، من الحجر إلى النبات ومن الحيوان إلى الإنسان، وصولا إلى الملائكة وما فوقها، كل ذلك عائد إلى العشق، ذلك الأسطرلاب الذي يكشف الأسرار. تطمح الروح البعيدة عن حقيقتها المطلقة إلى اللقاء الذي يكشف لها أن العاشق والمعشوق ليسا سوى واحد.

وقد حُكي في لإحدى قصص المثنوي أنه في أحد الأيام طرق رجل باب أحد أصدقائه، فأجاب الصديق: “من بالباب؟ فأجاب: “أنا”، رد الصديق قائلا: “اذهب، فأنا لا أعرفك”. بعد سنة من الغياب، وبعد احتراق من العشق والحزن، عاد الرجل ليطرق باب صديقه ثانية، فسأل الصديق: “من هناك؟”، وهذه المرة أجاب الرجل: “أنا أنت”، رد الصديق: ” ادخل إذن لأنك أنا، فلا مكان هنا لوجود اثنين”.

عندما يختفي تحديد التفرد الذي يولد الوهم، يتجلى الله على أنه الحقيقة الموحِّدة الوحيدة والمعشوق الوحيد. [عندما يصير الرجل والمرأة واحدا، فأنت ذاك الواحد، عندما تُمحى الآحاد فأنت ذاك الأحد لقد صنعتَ هذا “الأنا” وهذا “النحن” لكي تلعب لعبة العشق مع نفسك ولكي تصبح “الأنا” و “النحن” روحا واحدا، وتصبح في النهاية غارقة في المعشوق] (المثنوي) وكما جاء في القرآن الكريم، فإن الله قد خلق المخلوقات لعبادته (الذاريات 56)، فهو العابد والمعبود، وهذا العشق هو معنى كل موجود لدى الرومي: [المعشوق هو الكل، أما العاشق فحجاب يريد العشق أن يُظهر كلمته.] (المثنوي)

[العشق محيط لا متناه والسماوات سبيخة زبد اعلم أن أمواج العشق هي التي تدير دواليب السماوات. دون عشق يكون العالم فاقدا للحياة. كيف للجماد أن يتحول إلى نبات؟ كيف للنبات أن يضحي بنفسه ليوهَب الروح؟ كيف للروح أن يبذل نفسه من أجل هذه النفخة، التي من فوحانها صارت مريم حبلى؟ كل ذرة قد شُغفت بهذا الجمال وأسرعت نحوه.. وفي سرعتها تنادي: “العزة لله”] (المثنوي)

You’ve Probably Never Seen a Masjid Like This

Step into the beautiful Hamidiye Camii (masjid) located in the central Turkish city of Kırşehir.

 

This masjid has been drawing in many people for five-time daily prayers from the local community due to its unique ceiling adorned with a beautiful sky, and its carpet that looks like grass; all of which has been inspired by a verse in the Qur’an.

It was initially built in the 1910’s under the Ottoman Caliphate in the Yenice neighbourhood of Kırşehir and was named after the great Caliph of Muslims, Amir al-Mu’minin Sultan Abdülhamid II Khan; but as the decades went by, the masjid was neglected and dwindled into a state of disrepair. As such, it was recently demolished and replaced by the newly built Hamidiye Camii on the same site.

The artistic motifs inside the masjid were drawn and painted by an Azerbaijani architect, and it has certainly garnered some attention since it opened last year, drawing people from all over the city – and beyond – to see its inner beauty, and for prayers.

 

One congregant remarked: “It’s as if I felt like I was praying in the gardens of jannah (heaven).”

The Imam of the masjid, Sefa Ekinci said: “When I was assigned to this masjid as an imam, I started to gather as much information as I could about its history and also the developments that were done on the new project to date. The people involved in the project told me that they were inspired by Ayah (verse) 22 from Surah (chapter) al-Baqarah from the Holy Qur’an” which reads:

“(Allah) Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).”

Ekinci continues: “We prepared the groundwork of the masjid, then we started the painting and let the water fall from the sky, we also placed a waterfall above the mihrab prayer niche and trees were painted in between each window pane on the walls. We genuinely tried to capture the spirit of the ayah into the design of the masjid’s interior.”

 

 

Local resident and retired imam, Yılmaz Akçakaya echoed these statements and said that the physical size of the previous Hamidiye masjid that was on this property was “quite small and was not fitting the needs of our community, as we had too many congregants and it could not accommodate everyone. Many people contributed financially to this project, and I appreciate all of the contributions from our community members, may Allah be pleased with all of them. The exterior design of our masjid is stunning, and the interior design is just as stunning. Whenever I enter into the masjid, I feel so different and inner-peace starts to overcome me. We are able to do our worshiping with complete tranquility.”
