أهل الله

A seeker once asked his spiritual guide:

"Where do you want me to reach? I am exhausted from worship, lessons, and struggling against my soul."

The sheikh looked at him with a sigh and said:

"You are tired, and yet you are still at the very beginning of the path!"

Then he explained that people, in matters of love, are of three types:

1. People of the world

2. People of the Hereafter

3. People of God

"So choose your people, your abode, and your dwelling."

1 – People of the World

They are those who love the world—this aging, fleeting thing—and pursue its transient life.
Their enjoyment in it is brief, and their end is insignificant.
If it becomes theirs, they lose; and for what they choose, they regret.

2 – People of the Hereafter

They are those who love Paradise and its blessings, who breathe its fragrance and feel its breeze.
They seek the Hereafter through worship and attain goodness and happiness.
They enjoy the gardens of Paradise and have secured the best places therein.

3 – People of God

And what can you know of the People of God?
They are those who love neither the world nor seek the Hereafter.
Their eyes are awake with divine love; they know no other beloved, and no one else enters their hearts.
They are alive yet never die.

They are scholars in all things, aware and active, their bodies perishable in this world but their souls eternal in death.
They are dead in this world, yet alive at the moment of death. They died before they died, and thus earned immortality.
They have life beyond death without limits. They achieved the greatest success and earned the love of the All-Knowing Lord.

"So choose them as your people, and be one of them. Blessed are the People of God, blessed are the beloved of God and His lovers."

He concluded:

"I have clarified this guidance for you, so take heed and choose your path, O human."

سأل احد المريدين شيخه : اين تريدني أن أصل؟

فقد أتعبتني العبادة والدروس ومجاهدة النفوس

فنظر له الشيخ متحسراً وقال :

تعبتَ وما زلت في أول الطريق !

فأعلم أذن أن الناس فى الحب على ثلاث أقسام :

-اهل الدنيا ، وأهل الآخرة ، وأهل الله ،

،فأختر لك أهل ودار وسكن ،

١ _ فأما أهل الدنيا :

قوم أحبوا الدنيا ،تلكَ العجوز المتصابية ،وطلبوا الحياة الفانيه .. فمتعتهم فيها قصيره ،ونهايتهم فيها حقيره ،إن أصبحت منهم خسرت وعلى ما أخترت ندمت ،

٢ – وأما أهل الأخرة :

فهم قوم أحبوا الجنة ونعيمهاوأستنشقوا عطرها ونسيمهاوقد طلبوا الآخرة بالعباده؛ونالوا الخير والسعاده ،يتنعمون برياض الجنان ،وقد حازوا أفضل مكان ،،

٣ – وأما أهل الله :

وما أدراك ما أهل الله : قوم ما أحبوا الدنيا “ولا طلبوا الآخرة ، عيونهم بالعشق ساهرة ، غير معشوقهم ما عرفوا أبد وما دخل قلوبهم غيره أحد، أحياء لا يموتون،

علماء بكل شيء عارفون عاملون ، اجسادهم بالحياة فانيه وأرواحهم بالموت باقيه. هم بالدنيا أموات ، وحين الموت أحياء ، ماتوا قبل ان يموتوا ، فاستحقوا الخلود .. ولهم ما بعد الموت حياة بدون حدود ،قدفازواالفوزالعظيم ،واستحقوا عشق الرب العليم ،فأخترهم لكَ أهل وكنْ منهم. فطوبى لأهل الله ،، وطوبى لأحباب الله وعشاقه ،

قد أوضحت لكَ البيان ،فأتعظ وأختر طريقك أيهاالانسان
