Uighurs photo feature: life as a Chinese Muslim

Uighurs, from the far western region of Xinjiang, mostly follow Sunni Islam and their central Asian physical appearance clearly distinguishes them from China’s ethnic Han majority.

Beijing says it ensures religious freedom for all of its citizens and has preferential policies towards ethnic minorities. Rights groups and analysts accuse China’s government of cultural and religious repression against Uighurs — such as cracking down on hijabs for women and beards for men, as well as limits on fasting during Ramadan — fuelling the unrest.

ISIS Female Jihadist

Female jihadist fighter

Certainly, the outstanding media campaigns of ISIS had concluded the experiences of previous insurgents and the skills of young trained recruits.. This is what had created the fantasies for the more youngsters to join, for the more confused ones to find refuge, and for the stressed others to be adventurous.. Discovering the facts and realities of such incubation will always comes too late, where eventually the troubled person would find no way escape except to die as a Martyr.. At least, would be rewarded later..!

Unless a political will be formed, to established a uniformed actions, ISIS will continue to bleed both communities and governments worldwide.. The main obstacle lays within the unfit counter campaigns to educate the naïve people and spread the correct religious understanding.. Outdated preachers are no help either.. However, the recent seizure of radicals’ mobility and advocacy will help, but not for long.. Opportunities should be given to NGOs and Think Tanks to professionally and publically spread the word..

It is never an easy job to tell the truth, yet a very easy one to lie..!!

Leaving the West behind:
Why women are being enticed by jihadist life

An increasing number of young western women are joining the “Islamic State.” According to analysts, girls are being drawn in by a mix of political idealism, desire for adventure, and a need for protest.

Three girls from the US had almost made it half way on their journey to join the “Islamic State” (IS). But at the weekend German police stopped the teenagers, aged 15 to 17, in Frankfurt and sent them back to the US. Other girls from Europe and America, however, have reached Syria and northern Iraq. Among the thousands of volunteers in the Sunni terrorist militia, there’s an increasing number of young women from the West.

The case of a 16-year-old high school student from Konstanz, southern Germany, caused uproar in Germany after she secretly travelled through Turkey to a training camp in Syria. It was from there that she announced she had joined al Qaeda. Katherine Brown, lecturer in Defense Studies at King’s College, London, estimates that 200 women from across Europe have been drawn into the Syrian civil war, and he has identified several reasons for their decision.

“The Islamic State offers a political utopia,” Brown said in an interview with DW. “There’s a naive, romantic idealization [of IS] – a state that is supposedly based on the precepts of Islam. This plays a role in Europe, where many young Muslims feel estranged from the political debate.”

Syrian IS FightersFor many, the fight for IS is an adventure

“Then there’s the thirst for adventure in young people,” she added. “This is somewhat similar to the Spanish Civil War some 75 years ago. It was exciting and the youth wanted to be part of it.” Brown believes that for some young Muslim women there is certainly a connection between this and the feeling of belonging to a new state. “They want to be part of something new, as mothers of the state and wives of the fighters,” she said.

Women often younger than male IS supporters

Burkhard Freier, head of the North Rhine-Westphalia intelligence agency, estimates that 25 women have left the region to join IS. “These women are very young, younger than the men – between 16 and 20,” said Freier. Almost all the women come from migrant families. Freier believes that, like the men, these women and girls often lack a sense of respect and direction. “It’s also a type of protest culture…a wish to isolate themselves from their own family,” explained Freier. “There are also individual cases where women have said that in Syria, they can live with their Muslim beliefs and their veil better than in Germany,” he added.

Many young female IS supporters become radicalized over the internet and are drawn in by videos, blogs, and Facebook posts by other women who are already inside the militia’s territory. There, alongside masses of propaganda, they can find practical tips and advice about life in a war zone.

The strict version of Islam, to which the young volunteers devote themselves, leaves women with little room for maneuver. Women have just two roles: as a faithful companion to a fighter and as a mother.

Women in ISWomen have little freedom under IS leadership

Nevertheless, some of the women are apparently involved in fighting, or at least portray themselves as fighters. Brown quoted the words she saw in a blog by a Malaysian doctor: “I’ve got my stethoscope and my Kalashnikov rifle – what more can I need?” Last week, a photo was also published picturing a French woman as a suicide bomber with a belt of explosives.

Muslim women probably not involved in fighting

Freier, however, believes that women aren’t taking part in combat missions. “They’re appointed to guard and support the men,” he said. “They’re not as free as they’d like, but are bound there. Often, even if they wanted to, they can no longer go back.”

According to media reports, this was the experience of two young Austrian girls. After six months in IS and marriage to IS fighters, they are said to have contacted friends because they could no longer endure the bloodshed. As well as previously announcing that they would die for Allah, the 16 and 17-year-olds had also posted pictures in which they were fully veiled and holding rifles.

For Brown and Freier, the radicalization of women has more to do with politics and protest than with religion. This to due to the fact that some of them set off on their journey with a very sketchy knowledge of Islam, said Brown. “There are the usual utterances, the black flag and the chants in the videos. But they grasp very little of the theology of jihad or how it relates to their new lifestyle.”

Dances of the Planets

The planets in the heavens move in exquisite orbital patterns, dancing to the Music of the Cosmos.  There is more mathematical and geometric harmony than we realize.   The idea for this article is from a book Larry Pesavento shared with me.  The book, ‘A Little Book of Coincidence‘ by John Martineau, illustrates the orbital patterns and several of their geometrical relationships.  .
Take the orbits of any two planets and draw a line between the two planet positions every few days.  Because the inner planet orbits faster than the outer planet, interesting patterns evolve.  Each planetary pairing has its own unique dance rhythm.  For example, the Earth-Venus dance returns to the original starting position after eight Earth years.  Eight Earth years equals thirteen Venus years.  Note that 8 and 13 are members of the Fibonacci number series.

  • Earth:     8 years * 365.256 days/year  =  2,922.05 days
  • Venus:  13 years * 224.701 days/year  =  2,921.11 days (ie. 99.9%)

Watching the Earth-Venus dance for eight years creates this beautiful five-petal flower with the Sun at the center.  (5 is another Fibonacci number.)

ISIS Militants Targeting Young Malaysian Girls

It is truly disturbing, yet was not astonishing.. Since the religious violence at Shah Alam, a couple of years ago, Malaysian politicians did not change their tunes, nor their visions.. Dr. Mahtier was the first to utilize patriotic and religious affiliations to build his own legacy..

All cards can defuse and fade out after the purpose is served, except the religious one, because it means the foundations of distinction, identity and perspective for the underdeveloped communities in particular.. Even so, developed ones can witness the same..

Malaysia is slowly radicalized; with the contradictive religious views of its minorities.. Regretfully, Malaysian commons are pushed into a trap; whereas their intellectual are paralyzed to seriously confront

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia – Islamic State (IS) recruiters are targeting young Malaysians and schoolchildren especially girls via social media to fight or provide “domestic services” in Syria and Iraq. Bukit Aman’s Special Branch Counter Terrorism Division’s principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ayob Khan said young girls were being increasingly lured to join militant groups as they were more vulnerable to influence. “The militants have been found trying to entice those aged between 14 and 30, using well-scripted texts on why ‘jihad’ (martyrdom) is an obligation in Islam,” “As such, even school students have shown interest in joining IS,” SAC Ayob told The Star. He said the process to recruit the young usually took about three months, adding that the youngest target for the militants so far has been a 14-year-old boy.

Let’s be honest: Islam has a problem today..!!

11

I can’t agree less on what Fareed had concluded..
Yes, during the 1400 years, there were many centuries of peace and harmony
Yes, Islam was more tolerant with other beliefs than most of other religions
Yes, we have biased 1200 millions who mostly are illiterate and poor

Yes; No single protest was recorded throughout the Arab or Muslim worlds against ISIS..!!

Is such passive situation reflects the Conceptual Public Discretion
or is it scandalous epistemic bankruptcy of Intellectuals, Clerics and Leaders
Where are those Social networking enthusiastic who claim steering the public notions..?

Yes; Let’s be honest: Muslims have a Problem
and it is a Very Big One,,!!

By Fareed Zakaria

When television host Bill Maher declares on his weekly show that “the Muslim world…has too much in common with ISIS,” and the author, Sam Harris (a guest on his show) concurs, arguing that “Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas,” I understand why people get upset. Maher and Harris made crude simplifications and exaggerations.

And yet, they were also talking about something real. I know all the arguments against speaking of Islam as violent and reactionary. It is a vast world of 1.6 billion people. Places such as Indonesia and India have hundreds of millions of Muslims who don’t fit these caricatures. That’s why Maher and Harris are guilty of simplification and exaggeration.

But let’s be honest: Islam has a problem today…There is a cancer of extremism within Islam today. A small minority of Muslims celebrate violence and intolerance, and harbor deeply reactionary attitudes towards women and minorities. And while some moderates confront these extremists, not enough do so and the protests are not loud enough. How many mass rallies have been held against ISIS in the Arab world today?

But now the caveat, Islam today, is important.

Would the Existence of Extraterrestrials Mean the End of Religion?

In A Brief History of Time Professor Stephen Hawking asks, “…if the universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither beginning nor end: it would simply be. What place, then, for a creator?” Indeed, the more humanity learns about the universe in which we are just a very miniscule part, the less need we seem to have for a higher power. The theory of evolution cogently describes how we as a species came into being, and the Big Bang elegantly enumerates on how the universe itself came into existence. As our scientific understanding expands, purely religious answers for life’s “big questions” seem to contract. But what would it mean for belief—or non-belief—if we discovered the existence of extraterrestrial life?

http://thehumanist.com/news/religion/atheists-and-aliens-would-the-existence-of-extraterrestrials-mean-the-end-of-religion

On the contrary, discovery of Extraterrestrials will mean the new revival of Religion..!

I did not have the opportunity to explore the findings of Mr. Weintraub, when he had examined the Islamic referrals related to this issue, nor I can be sure of the authorities spoke on behalf of Muslim.. Religion is a progressive concept that had been widely controversial.. However, I may point to three issues that would support my claim (as an intellectual Muslim):

First; The main scripture of Islam; the Holy Quran had noted in many verses on the other nations either at the Skies or between Earth and Skies; which Adam’s sons (Mankind) do not know.. These nations have descriptions that vary between intellectual and living species alike what we have on Earth..

Second; Islamically; there are three purposes for the (intellectual) creations to adhere to: Worshiping the Creator, Purifying oneself from non-divinely attributes, and Colonization and utilizing of Earth.. Therefore; in order to guide people to the righteousness, it is clearly stated in the Holy Quran that every nation had received a Prophet or a Messenger from Allah, yet their names, numbers or dates were not revealed apart from the few..

Third; Certainly, Islam had described a legacy of Mankind, whereas both Believers and non-Believers are in continuous confrontation; which had been deformed as a concept and created the concurrent Jihadists.. Accordingly, those Extraterrestrials would have their own versions of the “Oneness” belief; which will support and consolidate what we already have.. Also, they might be Disbelievers or atheist; which would expand and enrich the dialogue..!

Either way, it will be interesting and challenging rather than demoralizing..

From Teacher to ISIS Fighter and Back: One Woman’s Story

'Khadija' wears a niqab to be interviewed. After defecting from the Islamic State, she is a marked woman.

How does a 25-year old elementary school teacher become a fighter for the Islamic State? How does one get out of such a mistake?

How does a 25-year old college-educated elementary school teacher become a fighter for the Islamic State — part of the feared, all-female Khansa Brigade, no less?

“Khadija” (not her real name), a Syrian woman from a “not overly conservative” family, recently told her story to CNN. Only Khadija’s story ends differently than most of those who become radicalized: She eventually woke up to the reality of the brutal organization.

At first she says she was happy patrolling the streets of Raqqa, carrying her weapon and terrorizing women who were not dressed properly according to the Islamic State requirements. Then, she says, “I started to get scared, scared of my situation. I even started to be afraid of myself.”

Doubts began to set in. Images of brutality – like the one of a 16-year old boy crucified after being accused of rape and the one of the beheading she witnessed – began to torment her. “I am not like this. I have a degree in education. I shouldn’t be like this. What happened to me? What happened in my mind that brought me here?” she began thinking.

A White Woman Sue Sperm Bank for Giving Her A Black Baby..!!

An Ohio Mom gave birth to a baby, only to find that the baby’s skin was significantly darker than hers. Now, she’s suing the sperm bank that provided the genetic material.

Jennifer Cramblett and her partner, Amanda Zinkon, went to Midwest Sperm Bank requesting sperm from a white donor. She allegedly discovered the mistake when going for refills of the same sperm and found that she had been receiving sperm from the wrong donor. She is blaming the handwritten notes that the sperm bank keeps and is suing for “wrongful birth and breath of warrant, citing the emotional and economic losses she has suffered.”

This is why the spectrum of Muslim Clerics (and any intelligent person) had denounced any fertilization outside the wedlock.. It is only acceptable to use the husband’s sperms to beat pregnancy hurdles.. Certainly, Egg-Donation is never Islamic nor honorable..!!

The Hajj

Hajj 2014

The Hajj is a rehearsal of the Judgment Day, therefore Pilgrims are wrapped in their shrouds, tumbling from the livelihood repeating their prayers, and supplications that may Allah swt will accept

“When that hour comes, every breast-feeding mother will drop her baby out of fear and every pregnant female will cast off her burden. You will see the people behaving as though they were drunk, while, in fact, they are not drunk. They only will look such because of the severity of God’s torment.” (22/2)

يبدو لي أننا قد تجاوزنا رهبة الموقف الموعود ، يبدو لي أن الحج صار نزهة عائلية
It seems we are no longer worry about the Judgment Day.. Hajj became a family leisure
